Coming into the 2013 MLB regular season, the Red Sox look to have one of the strongest bullpens in the league. Andrew Bailey, who they acquired from the Oakland Athletics for OF Josh Reddick (who hit 30+ home in 2012), barely got any action last season because of injuries. This offseason, the Red Sox bolstered their back end of the bullpen with the trade for all-star closer Joel Hanrahan, who had 36 saves last year. Their bullpen appears to look like this for the 2013 season: Daniel Bard, Junichi Tazawa, Koji Uehara, Andrew Bailey, Andrew Miller, Franklin Morales and possibly Craig Breslow. Oh, and how could I forget Alfredo Aceves, who will hopefully not ignite too many bench clearing brawls like at the WBC. The Boston Red Sox pitching as a whole last season finished 27th in ERA with team average of 4.70. They would love to be WELL below that mark when the 2013 season comes to an end. Stay tuned.
